Ratan Tata earlier this year expressed his interest in investing in Indian Startups, and now IdeaChakki, which a food-tech venture, has raised money from Ratan Tata. IdeaChakki is a Delhi-based start-up and it did not disclose the quantum raised. According to the company, the funds raised from Tata will primarily be used for expansion into new geography along with building the in-house team and strengthening the technology.
The company also partnered with Enablers for their next round of funding. Enablers Director Neha Khanna said, “We are glad to associate with an innovative and promising start-up like IdeaChakki. What IdeaChakki is all about?
IdeaChakki has been founded by Monica Narula, Noopur Tiwari and Gunjan Mehrish (three former NDTV executives with over 20 years of television experience). The start-up provides digital video menu for restaurants and allows customers to gift food and beverage experience anywhere in the world.
Currently targeting premium restaurants in Delhi NCR, the start-up aims to expand its operations in the country and plans to set up its first international office in Paris.
