Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) launched with S Pen at SKW 489,000 in South Korea

The recently launched Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is the new variant of the Samsung tablet that was launched in May and it comes with the S Pen. The tablet has been launched in South Korea with a price tag of SKW 489,000 i.e. approximately Rs. 29,500. The old tablet variants were launched with support for Wi-Fi and LTE and at a price of EUR 289 i.e. approximately Rs. 22,000 and EUR 349 i.e. approximately Rs. 26,500. The tablet will only be available in black colour.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features a 10.1-inch WUXGA TFT display with a screen resolution of 1920x1200pixels.

The tablet is powered by an octa-core Exynos processor clocked at a clock frequency of 1.6GHz.

Memory

The device comes with 3GB of RAM that was 2GB in its predecessor. There is an internal memory of 32GB that can be further expanded up to 256GB using a micro SD card.

Operating System

The tablet runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s skin on top.

Camera

On the camera front, it has got a rear camera of 8-megapixel with autofocus, LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. It can also record 1080p videos at 30fps. It has also got a front-facing camera of 2-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture.

Battery

The tablet is backed by a 7300mAh battery that is said to be capable of delivering up to 49 hours of talk time on 4G network and 13 hours of internet usage on 3G.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone has got to offer features like Bluetooth 4.2, Glonass, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Micro-USB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) measures 254.3×164.2×8.2mm and weighs 558grams.

Other Features

The tablet accepts SIM card and also supports 4G connectivity. It comes with new tools for the stylus that were seen in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.
