Siddharth Roy Kapoor: The famous Bollywood Director, Siddharth Roy Kapoor is going to part ways with Disney India for his own business initiative that he is going to take up in near future. He has been the CEO and the managing director of Disney India and now the former CEO Mahesh Samat will be resuming his position as Siddharth leaves Disney.
Siddharth Roy Kapoor to part ways with Disney India
Walt Disney International Chairman, Andy Bird expressed happiness over the return of the former CEO and said that he was the one who guided Disney in India in its initial days.
“Sid is a pillar of the Indian entertainment industry and has demonstrated passion and commitment for the Disney business. He carved a strong position for Disney in the Indian media and entertainment space that positions us well for the future. We are immensely thankful for his service and wish him well in his next venture.”

Mahesh Samat is the Managing Director and the Founder of the Epic Channel. He will be resuming his position at Disney India on November 28 this year.
He said, “Moving forward, we will accelerate the great work done by the team and create new, innovative ways for audiences to engage with our stories, brands and characters, and drive growth across our businesses.”
