Just a couple of hours ago, we wrote how all the leading e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart have suspended their cash on delivery option for payment post the abolishment of the former Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes. It was obvious that they will come with some sort of solution otherwise their sales would plunge drastically. To everyone’s surprise, Snapdeal is the first one that has come up with a solution in the form of Wallet on Delivery.

How does Wallet on Delivery works?

Wallet on Delivery
FreeCharge has partnered with Snapdeal to brinfg out Wallet on Delivery, an alternative to Cash on Delivery.

This service allows people to make their payments via Freecharge once they get the delivery of the product. The new delivery system allows the customers to make electronic transactions who do not have credit/debit cards.

Wallet on Delivery service is a replacement for the Cash on Delivery service. Though it is not the perfect alternate, it is still pretty close. The reason behind this is that it allows the customers to make the payment only when the product has reached his hands.

More on Wallet on Delivery

It is rather a fast as well as smart move because many people in India hesitate to make the payment before they get the product. The Wallet on Delivery service offers the similar cashless experience. The Wallet on Delivery service has started in the country from today i.e. November 10. It has been started to help people in this time when currency notes are running low everywhere.

Kunal Bahl, CEO and Co-Founder of Snapdeal said, “The launch of Wallet on Delivery is an absolute need of the hour for consumers. More than a year ago, we had made a strategic decision to build India’s best digital payments platform to offer the fastest and most efficient payments experience in the country. The launch of this new feature by FreeCharge shortly after the announcement of the demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes demonstrates our speed of execution in ensuring consumers’ needs are met in real time.”

That is it folks. Hope this article helps you in making your online shopping experience seamless. Stay tuned for more updates on Wallet on Delivery (WOD) and Snapdeal.
