Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor is all set to add another feather in her cap. Although it is not any ordinary one, the actress is all set to be honoured with the best actress award for her performance in “Neerja” at the Asia Vision Movie Awards to be held in Dubai this week.
Isn’t this exciting? Sonam, who was really excited and thrilled with the character of Neerja Bhanot that she played in the movie ‘Neerja’ was also applauded by the audience and the movie critics also.
Sonam Kapoor to receive Best Actress Award for portraying the Character of Neerja Bhanot
The 31-year-old actress won rave reviews and accolades for her portrayal of slained PanAm flight attendant Neerja Bhanot in the Ram Madhvani directed film.
Although Sonam was never been appreciated for her acting skills unless it is not ‘Raanjhanaa’ in which she described that she has got the real acting potential. And with Neerja too, she redefined the fact that she has got good acting potential.
Talking about the award, Sonam Kapoor will be presented with the Best Actress Award at the 11th Edition of the awards, to be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium this Friday, a press release issued here said.
However, this is not the only award she will receive for her movie ‘Neerja’, Sonam Kapoor also won the best actress award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Earlier this year she won the critics choice award at the Hello Hall of Fame, for the role.
Talking on the work front, Sonam Kapoor will be seen next in “Veere Di Wedding” alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and others. However, the project is currently shelved due to Kareena’s pregnancy and also facing some issues with the producers.
