Tata-Mistry Row: Tata Sons Interim Chairman said at the Shareholders’ meeting that ‘unsubstantiated’ attacks are being undertaken against him which is causing damage to his public repute.
“Whatever the process may be and however painful it is, I think the truth will prevail and the systems in our country will govern”, said Ratan Tata, speaking on the charges posed against him by Nusli Wadia.

He said that his personal reputation and the reputation of the Tata Group is constantly being attacked by the newspapers which is very ‘painful’ for him. He further said that he is very grateful to the shareholders – “I could not leave from here (EGM) today without at least expressing my deepest gratitude to the shareholders. It has been a pleasure to be with you…and coming here this week with all the shareholders, I have been so moved emotionally and deeply touched by the warmth and the support and the affection that they have shown

Nusli Wadia who was removed from the board of the Tata Chemicals, Tata Motors and Tata Steel had filed a defamation case against Ratan Tata saying that the company, “by printing, publishing and circulating per se false, frivolous, baseless, incorrect, libelous and defamatory material concerning the Complainant” has tried to falsely defame him.
Nusli Wadia has also backed the Former Chairman of the Tata Group Cyrus Mistry, who has also accused the Tata Group of major mismanagement and corporate governance failures.
