Just after three days of interference between Army and terrorist, the militants attacked again on the military camp in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday. According to the media reports, the three terrorists were allegedly killed by the security forces.
There is no casualty among Army soldiers. The search operation is still going on. Army Official said three militants have been killed in the encounter and three AK47 have been recovered from spot”.
Terrorists were dressed in Army fatigues
This was the third attack within a month by the terrorist. Army officials also told to media that a group of terrorist along with heavy explosion, who were dressed in army fatigues, attacked the 30 RR Camp, which is situated in the town, Langate in Kupwara district. They attacked on military camp around 5AM.
In the counter attack by the security forces , three terrorists were killed in a gunfight. Officials said the exchange of fire lasted resumed at around 6.30am after a thaw when the militants had stopped firing from their side.
No casualty between Indian soldiers
Reported by Business Standard, Colonel Rajesh Kalia, spokesperson for the Indian Army’s Srinagar-headquartered 15 Corps told IANS that “firing has stopped, however, the search operation is still going on”. He further said there has been no casualty between India soldiers.
The three men were found in an orchard near the army base in Kupwara district near the Line of Control, the de facto border that divides the Himalayan region between India and Pakistan.
On October 3 a BSF trooper was killed and another injured after a terrorist attack on the 46 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) camp in Janbazpora area of Baramulla town. The guerrillas, however, managed to escape.
