Uttar Pradesh Government: In a big blow to Uttar Pradesh Government, the Supreme Court ordered to lodge an FIR against Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh’ Yadav’s Minister Gayatri Prajapati. The FIR has been ordered in connection with alleged rape and blackmailing a social worker, reports claim. He was accused by the female activist last year of spiking her tea with some intoxicating substance and then she was raped.
The minister took victim’s compromising photos
According to the reports, she had also accused Prajapati of taking compromising photographs of the heinous act and blackmailing her later. The victim is also served as the counsellor on the Municipality claimed that the minister also tried to assault her 17 years old daughter.
Uttar Pradesh Government: SC has given eight weeks to UP police to submit status report related the matter
In the matter, the Uttar Pradesh police have asked to bring status the status report of the investigation by the Apex court. For which the court has given eight weeks time.
The development has come as a setback for the Samajwadi party and the Congress party who are campaigning together for the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is yet to speak on the case.
In September 2016, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had sacked Prajapati for promoting illegal mining in the state.
