Valerie Bertinelli filed for divorce in May and it has been six months of legal separation.
Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale got married in 2011. After several years of dating they finally got married at a cliff-side Malibu home. They met through her brother Patrick.
She is a “happily” single woman. On Tuesday she celebrated her divorce from Tom Vitale.
At the airport, she captured a video saying, “My lawyer just called. The papers are all signed. They’re about to be filed.”
Additionally, “On 11/22/22, I am officially f—— divorced. Happily divorced. Finally. It’s finally over.”
She ended by saying, “Yes!”. In her footage, she said, “happily divorced.”
In September Bertinelli sold her wedding ring and the jimmy choo strappy heels that she wore at her wedding.
She wrote with the caption, “A couple of Tiffany rings that have some bad memories attached and a pair of shoes I wore to a wedding in January 2011 😉,” she said of her items, adding: “They should be up in a couple of weeks! ✨💖”
Why Did Valerie Bertinelli & Tom Vitale Divorced?
In November, Valerie Bertinelli filed for legal separation from Tom and filed for divorce on May 12. The reason for divorce stated that due to “irreconcilable differences” between the two.
The divorce papers stated prenuptial agreement, is “in full force and effect and fully binding on the parties.”
In July Vitale’s lawyers argued the validity of the prenuptial agreement and asked to receive $50,000 a month in spousal support.
To which Valerie’s lawyer replied the court to hold a separate hearing on the validity of the document.
The whole detail about Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale divorce is still not made public.
In June in an interview, she said, “I am gonna be more than happy to be happily divorced and spend the rest of my life alone,” she said. “I’ll be happy that way. Well, with my six cats and my dog and my son, and hopefully one day grandchildren.”
She also said that she will not be looking for love again after Valerie Bertinelli divorce, “because of the challenges that I’m going through right now, because divorce sucks. I can’t imagine ever trusting anyone again to let into my life. So I have some trust issues that I’m sure I’m going to have to get past.”
Bertinelli showered her love on her son as he recently got engaged to his long time girlfriend Andraia Allsop.
