Commentary: Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Corey Graves
WWE Monday night Raw opened loudly with raw tag team champions the new day. Michael Cole announced that it could be a historic victory if the new day can hold on to their titles. Moreover, Rusev and Lana announced their night in the hotel room. Last week, Rusev beat the crap out of Enzo Amore. Checking into Cruiserweights division, two matches were fixed. Then we also had Rollins Reports as Seth Rollins interviewed Kevin Owens. Setting the road for Roadblock: End of line, Sami Zayn got his match against the destroyer Braun Strowman. For the main event, Stephanie McMahon was pissed with the new day. After the trio poured champagne all over her. She finalized WWE Tag team title on the line against Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho.
Adding the fuel into the fire, General Manager, Mick Foley included Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins into the main event. But new day proved that they are here to stay as tag team champions.
Triple Threat Match the New Day vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Sheamus and Cesaro
WWE Monday night Raw witnessed an epic history. This was written by none other than WWE Raw tag team champions, the new day. It was a huge win for them. Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods added the flavor into the match. Initially, Gallows and Anderson kept them down. Then mid was the time of Cesaro and Sheamus. Finally, the chapter was closed by the champions. They became the longest reigning champions when Kofi took Sheamus out with trouble in paradise slam to win the match.
Winners: The New Day
Backstage, everything messed up for the new day. While partying, the trio accidently poured Champagne on Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. She was quite annoyed by the tag team champions.
Braun Strowman vs. Curtis Axel
It was a match between a toy and a bulldozer. Man, WWE Monday night Raw saw the carnage by Brawn Strowman. He was all over Axel. Alex was seen flying all over the ring. He resisted in between. But he was no match for Strowman. He lifted Axel up and slammed him down with the face first. It was a straight and simple win for the monster.
Winner: Braun Strowman
Cruiserweight Division Match: Ariya Daivari vs. Lince Dorado
The match ended in the no contest after Jack Gallagher interrupted. He threw some bad words at Ariya Daivari. That pushed Daivari to rush after him. But during WWE Monday night RAW, Gallagher giving a dropkick to him finally ends the show.
Winner: No Contest
The Rollins Report with Kevin Owens
Seth Rollins was quite high with his new show. He even invited his guest in form of his rival Kevin Owens. Finally, being interrupted by Chris Jericho after Kevin finalized a tag team match against the new day. The match was a title match. But Jericho was not interested. After Seth disrespected Chris, he was attacked by both the former best friends. But at WWE Monday night Raw, Roman Reigns saved Rollins.
Cruiserweight Division Match TJ Perkins vs. Brian Kendrick
On Sunday night, Cruiserweight title will be on the line. The contest between the former best friends was an eye opener for TJ Perkins. Brian Kendrick pinned him straight for the win. After the early confrontation, Kendrick dominated most of the time. Finally, pinning Perkins with Sliced Bread # 2 for the win at WWE Monday night Raw.
Winner: Brain Kendrick
WWE Monday night Raw Divas match: Bayley vs. Alicia Fox
Bayley took Fox quickly with some early moves. Fox was quite a competitor for Bayley. But she managed to keep her down with the belly to belly suplex, picking up a quick win.
Winner: Bayley
Sami Zayn vs. Jinder Mahal
Sami Zayn won the match. But his greatest surprise came in form of Mick Foley. He announced a match between Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman at Roadblock. Earlier he played with Sami to check his nerves. But quickly came to point after seeing Zayn’s head into the match against Strowman. WWE Monday night Raw proved that fight between monsters and humans is possible.
Winner: Sami Zayn
Tag Team Championship: The New Day vs. Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho vs. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
It was a pre-show event before WWE Roadblock: End of the line starts. It was fun watching every superstar kicking the butts one another. Besides this, new day won the match again. They showed that nothing is going to stop them. Not even the likes of Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns. While Big E showed a sheer sense of power, Rollins was quick and Kofi was flexible. WWE Monday night was all together and the new day retained their titles.
