You can Still Use Old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 Notes to Pay Bill, Fee, Taxes, LPG Cylinder & Other Govt Penalty

Well, its a good news for all Indian as Secretary Economic Affairs, Government of India Mr Shaktikanta Das has tweeted that you can still use your old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 Notes. As per Mr Das,  you can use old notes to pay your taxes, any Central & Govt Fee or Bill.  Today on 10 November, the bank has started exchanging old notes with new currency notes or with Rs. 100 notes.

After this historical & bold decision by Prime Minister Modi, today bank’s has started exchanging old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes.

Check the tweet of Secretary Economic Affairs, Government of India.  You can even pay “Receipt of old 500/1000 notes by utilities for payment of electricity charges upto 11 Nov midnight includes all utilities.”

You can deposit the old notes at the nearest bank, post office from November 10. To exchange your old notes you need to fill the form (below mentioned) with your one identity proof. The daily limit of exchanging the notes is Rs. 4000/-. To Avoid huge rush at the bank, take a print out of this form with you.

As per Government, you can also use your Rs. 500 & Rs. 1000 at the petrol pump, hospital, medical shop & Railway Station.  Do not panic, cool down and wait for few days, everything gonna be alright. It’s your money & will be yours only.
