The National investigation Agency (NIA) has found a direct link between Islamic Preacher Zakir Naik and his NGO Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) with the renowned terrorist group Islamic State. The investigation showed that the IRF has rewarded IS operative Abu Anas with Rs 80,000 as scholarship.

The payment given by IRF to Anas emerged as an alleged link between the IRF and the IRF. At the same time, sources suspecting that the office bearers who were working at IRF could not have been aware of Anas’s plans and extended him economic assistance by disguising it as a scholarship. TOI quoted in its reports that Anas (24) was in a regular touch with IRF office bearers and the money was transferred to his ICICI bank account in Tonk in Rajasthan.

With this shocking news, both IRF and Naik have been under the scanner of India agencies since the preacher’s name surfaced as a motivator in the Dhaka Gulshan terror attack case. A number of reports saying that the Preacher had been encouraged the Muslim to join the terrorist group even several people have been inspired by his provoking speeches in which he asked them to travel to West Asia to fight for the so-called caliphate.

On the other side, Naik has refused blames on him of terrorist influencer and said his preachings reached 150 countries. Ana, a former information security analyst with TWG International at Abids at Hyderabad, was arrested by NIA as part of a multi-city module in January-February.
Agencies through their raids on Tuesday claiming recovery of videotapes and DVD’s of Naik’s public speeches, documents related to property and investment, foreign domestic of IRF financial transaction and associated companies.
