In the wake of the Uri attacks, Bollywood has come forward to contribute to the Uri martyr’s fund to support their families. Ajay Devgn has also formally announced that he will contribute to the URI attack Martyr’s fund by directing a part of the opening collection of his film Shivaay towards the fund.
The story goes that yesterday Ajay Devgn held a screening of his film Shivaay for few exhibitors and distributors. During the screening, the distributors took the decision of contributing a part of their first-day collection towards the Uri Martyr fund.
And when Ajay came to know about this, he happily agreed to their decision and said that he will also match up their contribution and pitch in towards the fund.
What Ajay Devgn said while announcing this decision?
Ajay Devgn said, ‘I wholeheartedly support the fundraising for the family of the martyrs who lost their lives at URI defending our country. As the producer of Shivaay, I am pleased to announce that we shall match the contribution made by the members of Cinema Owners and Exhibitors’ Association.’

Ajay Devgn has been very vocal about his opinion on the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. He has come out in full support of banning Pakistani artistes in India. Ajay has spoken loud and clear that nothing is more important to him than his country and he holds the soldiers of our country on the highest pedestal.
Not just Ajay, his wife and Bollywood actress Kajol too supported the ban and said she completely stands by what her husband said.
