Sports Minister told that the government is planning to the makeover of all the stadiums in the country. While talking to India Samvad, Vijay Goel revealed the future game plan for the sports. He said “You will witness drastic changes in the country’s sports system soon. Now, India would not lack behind in any of the sports events.
Sports Minister held a meeting with eminent sports personalities
While talking with the news portal, Goel said, he held a four-hour-long-brainstorming session entitled ‘Chintan Baithak’ with eminent sports personalities such as shooter Gagan Narang, former hockey players Viren Rashquinha and Jagbir Singh and former Director General of SAI.
The meeting was called keeping in mind for forthcoming 2020, even 2024 and2028 Olympics Games in advance to enhance the capabilities of our Players and able to make them to clinch medals in upcoming sports events.
During a meeting, Sports Minister Goel Said that they have Consult with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to double the sports budget to provide proper equipment, diet and also coaches to the players.
