Dream Come True
The man who is known to be the master of martial arts in Hollywood is none other than Chinese actor Jackie Chan. After spending 56 years in film industry and doing over 200 movies Jackie Chan Oscar dreams finally came true on November 12 when he was awarded with the most prestigious award in movies at Eighth Annual Governors Awards at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles. The award was presented by Tom Hanks, Michelle Yeoh and Chris Tucker during the final presentation on Saturday evening.
Tribute to his Dad
Chan accepted that, Oscar was always his dream as Chan is known as one of the best action comedy actor in Hollywood industry. Jackie Chan Oscar dream always remained low as he was known to act in less drama movies. Chan stated, “My dad always said, ‘Son, you get so many movie awards in the world, when are you going to get one of these?’ Then I just look at my dad. ‘Ha, ha, ha. Dad, I only make comedy action movies”.
Chris Tucker’s love for Chan
Everyone in the arena was happy for Jackie Chan’s Oscar and many of his co stars congratulated him. Chris Tucker who was Chan’s co-star in Rush Hour movies stated, “The fact that I got to work with Jackie was amazing, a living legend,” he said, later adding, “Jackie, I love you, you are part of me, and congratulations, and I am so thrilled and honored to present to my good friend, Jackie Chan, with the honor Oscar, ladies and gentlemen give it up for Jackie Chan!”.
Jackie Chan Oscar dream was a big thing happened in his life as he thanked all the people and places who had been his part when his journey started in Hollywood. “I’ve broken so many bones, finally this is mine,” he said. “I want to thank you, Hong Kong, such an incredible city, my hometown, my hood, who make me. China, my country, I am proud to be Chinese. Thank you, Hollywood, for all of those years teaching me so many things, and also make me a little bit famous. I’m just honored to be here.”
The actor also took the twitter and thanked all his friends, family and fans.
