Filmmaker Kabir Khan cleared the air saying that Salman and Shah Rukh will work together in the upcoming movie ‘Tubelight.’ He called the reports false and says that Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in “Tubelight” is merely rumours.
Earlier, there were the reports that the SRK was approached for a special appearance in the film which stars Salman in the lead. When asked about this, Kabir told reporters, “When I’ll get to know I’ll let you know. But for now, all these are just rumours.”
Tubelight” marks the third collaboration of the Salaman-Kabir duo, who have previously worked on blockbuster “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and “Ek Tha Tiger”.
Tubelight” also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. The movie will hit the theatres on Eid next year. Kabir was speaking at the launch of Vivo V5 smartphone.
Kabir Khan also responded to the government’s Demonetization move.
Kabir Khan also spoke about the recent demonitisation move of the government. When asked if the move is affecting film business, especially the recently released “Rock On 2”, he said, “I think it is affecting daily life, going to a film is part of daily life. The fact that there are less notes available in the market, people are not able to get their hands on 100, 500 rupee notes so it is definitely a problem.
A Little brief about the ‘Tubelight’ movie
Talking about the movie, Salman Khan’s Tubelight is based on the 1969 Indo-China war and the plot revolves around an Indian soldier falling in love with a Chinese girl. Salman Khan starrer is called Tubelight in the movie, because he plays a man who is a bit slow in picking up and learning things. While many will jump up and try to criticise his act, Kabir has seen to it that character is presented sensitively in and no one should be offended.
