Australian Cricketer Adam Voges suffers concussion
Australian Cricketer Adam Voges was taken to hospital after he was hit by a bouncer during a domestic match between Western Australia and Tasmania. Adam Voges suffered a concussion during the batting when the bowler pitched a bouncer only to get a hit on his head. The 37 year old batsman has been the part of Australian team in many matches.
Struggling to retain his form
Currently struggling with his form in order to retain his place back in the nation side Australian Cricketer Adam Voges got messed up when he was batting at 16. He was immediately rushed to hospital by the medical attendees. “Adam Voges has been diagnosed with concussion,” the Western Australian Cricket Association tweeted. “Adam Voges is ok, naturally a bit groggy. Being monitored by medicos. Ruled out of rest of game.”
Incident got reminded of late Phil Hughes
Adam Voges dropped to his arm and knees after he got hit and was given medical attention immediately. He was taken off from the ground by trainers. The hit got reminded of the terrible incident which happened in 2014 with the Late Australian Opener Phil Hughes who died after he was hit on head from a bouncer. He was also playing a domestic match during that time.
Batsman safety in dock
Hughes death raised a sharp debate over the safety of the players, especially batsman facing the fast bowlers. Adam Voges is said to be fine and will not play the rest of match due to the injury. Voges missed most of the English county games for Middlesex after he suffered a concussion when he got hit on his head by a vague throw from the boundary. The incident happened in May, 2016.
Voges, who failed in first two tests match against South Africa was likely to be axed for the third test in Adelaide.
