France praises Modi – France has recently appreciated the demonetisation policy adopted by the Indian government. The French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Jean-Marc Ayrault said that the bold move of demonetisation shows how ‘determined’ PM Narendra Modi is to remove corruption and black money from the country.

He also said that Modi has taken significant reforms in the right direction for attracting foreign investments to India. These remarks came from Ayrault while on a four-day visit to India.
“I am impressed by the boldness of this decision. It shows how determined Prime Minister Modi is to combat tax evasion, corruption and black money. Its also a measure aimed at modernizing the economy by accelerating the transition to a digital economy”, he said.
PM Narendra Modi has recenlty asked the ministers to follow the ideas proposed by the group of secretaries that have been appointed by him and take budgetary help if necessary.
“It was a creative exercise initiated by the PM with the purpose of bringing about transformative ideas in the various areas of governance and national development through brainstorming and constructive discussions. In such meetings in which critical perspectives, innovative ideas and best practices are discussed, there is bound to be a scope for fine- tuning the ideas to a new level of excellence and practicality”, a source said.
This exercise of appointing secretaries for providing innovative ideas was introduced by PM Narendra Modi last year. The various ministeries are expected to implement many suggestions as given by the panel of secretaries set up by Modi.
