According to reports, Qatar has removed the requirement to pre-register on the Ehteraz health app before arriving for the tournament.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 is set to begin on November 20, and Qatar has announced significant travel relief for fans and visitors.
In a recent statement, the Gulf state said that overseas tourists will no longer need to take a COVID test before entering the country.
A negative PCR test report from within the last 48 hours or a fast antibody test from within the last 24 hours was previously required for passengers over the age of six traveling to Qatar. After that, the test results had to be turned in at the airport check-in counter.
Meanwhile, due to a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in Qatar and around the world, Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced a relaxation of the stated guidelines.
Travelers who tested positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Qatar were also subjected to self-isolation measures required by the authorities. As previously reported, Qatari officials have removed the necessity for all visitors to be quarantined.
