Officials have confirmed that at least 6 people have been killed and around 150 injured in a train collision near Multan, Pakistan. The trains that collided included a freight train and a passenger train.
The unfortunate incident occured near the Bucch Railway Station, near Sher Shah area.
How the Incident Happened ?
A man was crushed under the frieght train while crossing the tracks. As a result, the driver of the train stopped the train to remove the body of the deceased from the tracks.
In a little while, a passenger train named as Awam Express came up and collides with the freight train. And according to the officials, 4 boggies have been overturned and the engines of the trains have been wrecked up.
What does the initial Investigation Suggest?
Railway official Saima Bashir confirmed the accident and said suspected negligence on the part of passenger train engineer may have caused the accident. She said the freight train had stopped so the driver could remove the body of a man who had been crushed to death while crossing the railway track.
And three who have got strucked inside, are also been saved by the rescue workers. The Awam Express was on its way from Karachi to Peshawar. The Pakistani Railways have ordered a probe in to the incident and Authorities also have imposed the emergency in the nearby Hospitals for the quicker aid to wthose who injured in the accident.
