While raising the question against the decision of Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao DMK Leader M. Karunanidhi on Wednesday asked that the relocation of portfolios of Finance Minister O. Panneerslevam had been made as the advice of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
At the same time, On Tuesday, a release from Governor Vidyasagar Roa’s office said all the portfolios held by Jayalalithaa were to be shifted to Mr. Panneerslevam on the advice of the Chief Minister.
Although, some political leaders welcomed the decision, including DMK’s Stalin, Karunanidhi, PMk Leader S. Ramodass and DMDK leader Vijayakant but they also sent strongly worded statements if she had indeed any role to play in the decision.

Dr. Ramadoss asked how the chief Minister was able to give permit when she was receiving passive physiotherapy and also not in the position to move her legs and hands. He said the Governor is making this matter doubtful. He has to explain to the people of Tamil Nadu how it happened.
People have doubt on AIADMK’s decision: Karunanidhi
In his statement, Karunanidhi said it was really surprised that the portfolios were allotted with her permission when even the Governor, Chief Minister of Kerala, Union Minister and AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi were not permitted to see Jayalalithaa. He further said that Some people have doubt whether the chief Minister really signed the files for approval.
One cannot ignore the question whether the Governor could go through all aspect of the Constitution in short span before giving his consent for the changes,” he said.
Government should run according to Constitution:PMK
The PMK leader said the AIADMK had the right to serve the state for the next five years because it had got a majority in the 2016 assembly polls. Anyone from the party could function as a chief Minister or interim chief Minister; however, everything should be done according to the Constitution. The Government should not play into the hands of those who desire to run the administration as their whim,” he said.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is still in the hospital due to her lungs illness from twenty-one days and the hospital authorities have made it clear that she requires to stay longer in the hospital. When there was no positive news came out from the hospital related to her health, the government has announced the allocation of her portfolios to Panneerslevam.
