The MacBook Pro has been in the news for quite some time now. The reason behind this is that there have been reports of Apple making significant changes in their MacBook line of products and the resulting new MacBook Pro will most likely be unveiled on October 27.
Apple might appear too indulged in fulfilling the orders for iPhone 7, 7 Plus and Watch Series 2 but the latest leaks hint at next products lined up for launch this October.
According to Macotakara, Apple is planning to launch a new MacBook Pro somewhere in October. The same report also says that Apple will introduce the USB Type-C as well as Thunderbolt Port 3.
This is not surprising as the 12-inch MacBook Pro already has the USB Type-C on board. Another thing which might come as a shock is that Apple is reportedly discontinuing the 11-inches variant of the MacBook Air. The reason behind this is that Apple is going to concentrate more on the 13-inch products.
Along with that, Apple could also bid farewell to USB-A ports and the MagSafe charging connector.
Earlier, there were rumours which hinted at the possibility that Apple might ditch the function keys and might instead opt for a “Dynamic Function Row”.
Apple is also working on removing the top row dynamic keys and replacing them with touchscreen OLED strip which will allow the matching of applications dynamically.
With the introduction of USB Type-C ports, Apple will be able make keyboard more flatter allowing the design to be made slimmer than ever.
Since the relaunch of MacBook in 2015, there have been numerous rumours about Apple planning to introduce 5K Retina Display as well as USB Type-C on the Macs. Though the Macotakara report does not shed light on the retina display, the upgrade to USB Type-C is pretty much confirmed.
