A month back, an image shook the whole world. That image displayed the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 with VR support. The Idol 4S was launched way back in February at MWC’16 and was an Android powered phone at that time. Now, a Windows 10 variant of the same has actually been launched in the US with a price tag of $469. However, there are some upgrades which make it a lot more tempting phone.

Let’s take a look at its specifications now, shall we?
- First of all, it comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi. It also has Dragontrail on top of the display panel to protect it from scratches.
- The Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 variant is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with two energy efficient cores clocked at 1.6GHz and two high-powered cores clocked at 2.15GHz.
- This high performing processor has been paired with Qualcomm Adreno 530 which will handle the graphics department.
- On the camera front, the phone features a 21MP primary camera (PDDAF, f/2.0 & dual-LED) and an 8MP (f/2.2) secondary camera.
- It offers plenty of space as it comes with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. This can be further expanded to 128GB with the help of a micro SD card.
- As we mentioned earlier, it is running on Windows 10 Mobile version.
- In terms of communication, it features Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB On-the-Go and USB Type-C.
- It features a number of sensors including gyro, proximity, barometer, accelerometer, Hall Switch and E-Compass. A fingerprint sensor is also present
- It is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery.

What else?
Since it is a Windows Phone, 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 820 make it an insanely overpowered phone! The phone comes with Cortana which is a Windows version of Voice Personal Assistant. It is however not yet working in India. Windows 10 also comes with Continuum feature which allows the user to convert any monitor into a PC.
One can find a fingerprint sensor at the back with support for Windows Hello. There is also a dedicated camera button which turns on the camera and can be used for clicking pictures or shooting videos too.

It is available exclusively at T-Mobile stores in the US at a retail price of $469.99.
