Punjab assembly elections:The Posters asking people to vote for Congress on the name of Navjot Singh Sidhu as Chief Minister of Punjab has made the situation worse for the Punjab Chief Captain Amarinder Singh.
The poster in which Sidhu has emerged as Congress CM has sparked another controversy which could make the relation of the duo leaders bitter. The controversy emerged out when Sidhu’s constituency is filled with his posters saying the chief Minister of Punjab and to vote him. Sidhu is contesting election from Amritsar East where the posters of his name have been put up across the city.

The situation has become doubtful for Captain as he was not a part of the meeting when Sidhu had joined Congress. ‘Siddhu ko CM bananey key liye Congress ko vote dey’ (To make Siddhu the CM, vote for Congress). This slogan is followed by a big picture of cricketer-turned-politician with Congress V-P Rahul Gandhi and the party symbol.
Although, most parts of the campaign is centred around Captain Amarinder Singh, but talking about sources they said that party high commands’ liking for him and Siddhu’s ambitious nature might not work for the Captain.

With these posters, Sidhu may influence the voters but the relations amid two top leaders of Punjab Congress can get worse just days before assembly elections in the state. These posters hint at the possibility if misbehaviour by opposition parties amid triangular polls-battle.
