6 June 2016, Sydney: Horrific high storms weather hit the east coast of Australia and beat a giant waves at the beaches in Sydney, had taken at least three lives and some are missing on Monday after the clean up began, said the police officials.
According to the sources, horrific storms arrived in the coast during the weekends that have caused floods, that have swiped away some of the in ground houses near the beaches.
The source says, “This storm, which was so ferocious, has taken life from us”.
The storms have fierce the people and have led to damages.
The Bureau of Meteorology stated that, the combination of rain, storm and wave have led to damages and loss of lives. The reports said that one part of Sydney suffered the worst floods in 30 years where in the city during the weekends received almost 226 Millimeters of rain and 131.9 millimeters of rainfall reached above the average in the month of June.
It is learnt that, due to the high winds the two runways of Sydney Airport has been immediately closed and the wind gust in excess of 115mh was recorded in Sydney.
The police said, the drivers have found the two dead bodies that were swept away by the flood waters, one in the southwestern Sydney and another in the Bowral Town in the south city. The rescuers team has reached the spot for emergency aid, but due to the fast rising of the water level and weather conditions have failed the attempts to rescue the other man as well.
The storms have wiped out south from Queensland through New South Wales and onto Tasmania where police held fears for two people suspected to have swept away by the floodwaters that occurred.
An aged man nearly in the 80s have been also feared to be swept away, while in another case, an elderly aged woman who was attempted to have been rescued by helicopter is said to be missing, said the sources.
