EURO CUP – Germen league’s experience is helping Swiss Bundesliga while preparing them to face Robert Lewandowski led Poland to match happening in Euro 2016 on Saturday.
Switzerland and Poland, both have qualified for the first time for the Final-16 knockout phase in the European Championship games. However, Poland is optimistic about their wins as they have won 4 times out of their ten matches while Swiss are winning just one.
Threats for the Swiss
Swiss team’s major threat comes from both Lewandowski and Jakub Blaszczykowski. Their goal enabled Poland to win their match over Ukraine with 1-0 and this win also confirmed their place in Final-16 knockouts as Group C runner-up after Germany.
Swiss Goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who also plays for Moenchengladbach, said that Poland is a difficult opponent. Poland is adamant with their game, pretty compact one, yet it’s up to the entire Swiss team to make a difference.
Even with Lewandowski drought situation, team Swiss is confident about his game and believes that his experience will keep adding value to the team. Lewandowski topped Euro 2016 qualifiers with 13 goals. He also shot 42 goals in every game for Bayern previous season.
