The 2017 brand new Huawei P8 Lite smartphone has been announced by the company. The Huawei P8 Lite is a successor of Huawei P8, so it carries a design similar to it but is a more affordable offering that comes with a midrange chipset and a slightly lower resolution camera. But the phone has very similar specs as the P9 Lite and not the P8 Lite that debuted in 2015.
What’s the difference in Huawei P8 Lite and its predecessor?
The Huawei P8 Lite smartphone has a glass back and mated to a smooth metallic frame unlike the P8 and P9 series. And that is what gives the phone a lustrous appearance. But the biggest differentiator in Huawei P8 Lite comes in the form of the innards.

Display: The new P8 Lite (2017) boasts a 5.2-inch IPS display topped with a 2.5D curved glass having a Full HD (1920*1080p) resolution.
Processor: Huawei P8 Lite (2017) houses Huawei’s midrange Kirin 655 chipset that has an octa-core A53 processor and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM and the phone runs the latest Android Nougat 7.0 operating system.
And this is the reason that brings several upgrades to the smartphone’s software compared to the P9 Lite, though it still comes layered on top with Huawei’s own EM UI 5.0 skin.
Camera: The P8 Lite (2017) also brings to table a new 12-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The front camera is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
Storage: That smartphone comes packed with 16GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a micro SD card up to 128GB.
Battery: The smartphone packs a non-removable 3000 mAh battery.

The connectivity options in Huawei P8 Lite, the Dual-SIM smartphone include Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Micro USB 2.0.
The company recently launched its concept smartphone under its Honor brand, termed the Honor Magic having a 5.09-inch bezel-less front and Magic Live AI-based software. As per a report in gsmarena, the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) smartphone could be launch in Latin America as Huawei P9 Lite (2017).
Huawei P8 Lite (2017) is announced at 239 Euros in the European market which roughly translates to Rs 17,500. It will be available in Black, White and Gold colour options and also in a single SIM variant in some countries.
