India has clearly rejected as completely pretended and baseless a Pakistani newspaper story today, which claims that India’s foreign secretary S Jaishankar told the German ambassador here that no surgical strikes carried out by the India Army on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
Pakistan said over surgical strike a routine fire
Pakistan has been continuously saying that what India calls a surgical strike was a simply routine fire along the LoC. The story comes days after Islamabad restricted movements of a Pakistani journalist because he wrote a report in which the civilian government is aggravated with the Pakistan army for not cracking down on home-grown terror.
A Pakistani newspaper, The News International, carries a story that seeks to support the Nawaz Sharif government and the Pakistani army. The article says “an informed official source to Pakistani officials in Berlin that the Indian Foreign Secretary has unconditionally denied that there was no surgical strike undertaken by the Indian Army inside Azad Kashmir (POK), Pakistan”.
In an involved retelling of the course of events that led to this startling information being disclosed, the newspaper writes that on October 4, 2016, Rukhsana Afzal, a Pakistani embassy official in Berlin, met with German Foreign Ministry officials Karen Goebbels and Jens Wagner and the senior officer of Pak Division, Simone Stemmler.
The newspaper writes that when Rukhsana raised the issue of the Uri terror Attack, which this paper called a fake attack dramatic by India that Stemmler told her about the thought exchange between foreign secretary S Jaishankar and the German Ambassador in New Delhi. The story quotes another official source that saying the ruling BJP government wanted to achieve several objectives with the mantra of surgical strike.
India achieved its motive with surgical strike
The story quotes another “official source” as saying that “with the so-called mantra of the surgical strike”, the ruling BJP government wanted to achieve many objectives. According to an official source, BJP wanted to satisfy its people by creating this propaganda who were demanded of revenge from Pakistan for Uri attack and to create unparalleled political space ahead of UP’s assembly election. On the other hand, India also wanted to prove the world that Pakistan is a terror sponsoring state.
