Islamic State “IS” Militants have made a new plan to guard them against Iraqi forces. They have been going door-to-door in villages of Mosul and ordering people at gunpoint to come with themselves using them as human shields as extremists. According to residents swept up in the forced evacuations.

Victims elaborated scenes of chaos over the past week as a large number of people were ordered to get out of their home without giving time to pack and driven north across the Ninevah plains toward the heavily-fortified city, where IS has been preparing for a climactic showdown.
“Islamic State (IS) told all of us from our homes at gunpoint and told us they were taking us with them to Mosul,” Ahmed Bilal Harish told The associated Press on Wednesday, he further said, They said if you don’t go with us it means you are an unbeliever.”

He said he and including his family members were only able to escape when a hit of airstrikes caused the fighters to scatter during the 25-miles forced march from their home in the town of Shura to Mosul. They said to me, you have two options- you could be killed by Daesh or die along the way, so we ran he said, using an Arabic acronym for IS.
The family is now staying in a camp for those relocated by the fighting in an area under government control.
Another resident Shura told to AP that the Islamic State (IS) militants only gave few minutes to people to leave and said any stranglers risked being punished for hiding out and trying to join the Iraqi security forces.
