Lately, Oppo has not been particularly very active in rolling out new phones. They only launched the upgraded version of the F1s earlier. In order to remain competitive, they might be launching the Oppo Find 9 next year in March.
Rumours around Oppo Find 9
Oppo Find 9 has been in the news for quite some time now. Initially, it was said to launch in June 2015. Then it was rumoured to come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Later, it was expected to be launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. As you all know, none of it actually happened.
But that is about to change. A report came out back in September which said that the smartphone will not be launched 2016 at all. Now, there is another report which backs the previous report. It further pinpoints that the smartphone will be launched in March 2017. This rules out the possibility of the phone being launched at the Mobile World Congress 2017 which is scheduled for February.
More about Oppo Find 9
What makes this phone interesting is the fact that it just might be the first phone which will be launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 under the hood. The Snapdragon 835 SoC is built using Samsung’s 10nm production process. It is also expected to power the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8.
Apart from the processor, it is also expected to flaunt 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, the same one from OnePlus 3T. There will also be a minimum of 32GB of internal storage with a possibility of other variants with bigger capacities.
Also, it is highly unlikely to be running on anything less than Android 7.0 Nougat. In addition to this, it will also come with a Quad HD (QHD or 2K) display. Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM, 2K display and Android 7.0 Nougat; the Find series has always been about flagship specifications so it probably will not surprise anyone.
This all we have on Oppo Find 9 right now. Other specifications have not been leaked yet. If the phone is coming in March, we can expect a number of leaks to follow this one. Stay tuned with NorthBridge Times as we will keep you posted with all the updates on Oppo Find 9 and other news.
