A consecutive Terrorist attack in a day has shocked the entire Pakistan as the suicide bombers attacked a district court in the Pakistani city of Mardan on Friday. This is the second attack in a day after a failed attempt in the Christian colony in Peshawar. The bomber threw hand grenades before detonating a suicide vest among the morning crowds at the court, senior police official Faisal Shehzad said.
5 people including one civilian have died in the Peshawar attack this morning, whereas in Mardan attack, 12 People have been killed and 40 are wounded. According to the police, this latest assault is done with a motive of targeting Pakistan’s legal community and the terrorists succeed.
Haris Habib, chief rescue officer, told Media that “So far we recovered 12 bodies of lawyers, police personnel and civilians. Besides this, we rescued 52 injured, including lawyers, police personnel and civilians from the spot.” Army jawans and policemen have cordoned off the area while Rescue 1122 teams moved the injured persons to District Headquarter Hospital and Mardan Medical Complex and Search operation is underway in the locality.
Earlier today, four suicide bombers were killed in ‘prompt response’ by the security forces in Peshawar’s Christian Colony near Warsak Road. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes three weeks after a massive suicide blast killed scores of lawyers in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta in Balochistan.
