Pakistan India tussle: Recently, India expelled one of the Pakistani High Commission officials after he was found spying in India. As a repercussion, Pakistan has named eight Indian High Commission officials who it alleges of instigating terror in the nation.
Pakistan India Cold War Worsens
India has denied the allegations saying that it is merely an unjustified repercussion of the expulsion of Pakistan High Commission official Mehmood Akhtar. Akhtar was accused of taking crucial information from the Indian suspects in Delhi which he later accepted. He had also named four other officials involved in the operation.
He told that Pakistan commercial counsellor, Farooq Habib was the station chief of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He had also named three other officials involved in the operation.
In its notorious move, Pakistan falsely accused the eight Indian officials of being the agents of RAW(Research and Analysis Wing) and the Indian Intelligence Bureau.
It is especially regrettable that Pakistani authorities have chosen to level these allegations after deciding to recall, on their own, six officials of the Pakistan high commission, some of whom may have been named to Indian authorities by Akhtar who was caught red-handed while indulging in anti-India activities.

He added that the Indian government will now take necessary steps and assured that the security of the Indian officials in Pak is a priority.
