Recently, the Reserve Bank of India had announced the issuance of Rs 2000 note, however, it didn’t tell when exactly will the currency be circulated in the economy. And this seems to have built up confusion since Rs 2000 note pictures have been taking rounds all over the internet but no one actually knows if its official.
Rs 2000 note pictures go viral – official or merely a hoax?
No official news has come from Reserve Bank of India till now. A news source had earlier said that the 2000 Rupee notes are being printed in Mysuru. The leaked pictures of the Rs 2000 note are seen carrying a signature of the RBI Governor, Urjit Patel.
The Twitterati and masses on other social media are excited about the pics of the note. The details of the note seem to be authentic, however, RBI has not yet commented on the leaked pics of Rs 2000 notes.
The verification of the notes has not been done yet. Currently, Rs 1000 notes are of the highest denomination in India.
