Shoe thrown at Prakash Singh Badal: A shoe was hurled at Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal on Wednesday afternoon at Ratta Khera village. The CM was addressing a rally ahead at the village ahead of Punjab State elections.

“A man identified as Gurbachan Singh, a relative of a Sikh radical leader, threw a shoe at Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal”, Muktsar Senior Superintendent of Police Dhruman H Nimbale told reports.
Nimbale told that the person is now under the custody of police. “He appeared to be upset over the sacrilege incidents which took place in Punjab”, he added.
A case will be registered soon against Gurbachan Singh, as told by the SSP.
“CM is fit and fine. Had anything of that sorts happened, CM would have sustained some injury. He is continuing with his tour in the constituency. The shoe hit him on part of his turban even as a security personnel tried to protect CM from getting hit.”
