According to the latest news, the Shooting death of law enforcement has increased about upto 78 percent in the first half of 2016 as compared to the last year. Recently, eight officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge were killed, according to a report released on Wednesday. This year, around Thirty-two officers were died in firearms incidents which include 18 ambush attacks. Last year, 18 officers were killed in the line of duty which includes three people as suffered from ambush attacks. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, the firearms deaths of officers in the line of duty are still less as compared to previous decades like in 1970s. This year, 14 deaths were occurred at the line of duty having five recent slayings in Dallas. In Louisiana, three officers were killed badly which was ranked second as compare to the seven officers who died in the line of duty. This is really alarming increase in the number of deaths being happening because of the uniform and the job the officers have to do. They sacrifice their lives for saving and helping others, showing their bravery.

On July 17, two police officers and a sheriff deputy were shot during an ambush attack in Baton Rouge by a black gunman who was later killed by the officer. Also, a black gunman done fire attack on police in Dallas and the gunman killed five officers before being killed by the authorities. Till now, around 67 officers are killed in the line of duty including traffic accidents, fatal falls or airplane crashes.
