Liu attended the Violent Night premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday with Allison Hsu, an Interscope Records Digital Marketing Manager. They were dressed in matching holiday sweaters.
Liu was previously romantically linked to actress Jade Bender before dating Hsu. The couple fueled relationship speculations in June when they were seen out together in Los Angeles, despite the fact that they have supposedly known each other for a few years.
Although they kept their relationship private, the two appeared to confirm their relationship when they walked the red carpet together at the 2022 ESPY Awards at the end of July.
Since then, they’ve visited a few red carpets together and became “Instagram official.”
According to insiders, Liu admitted to being single in September when attending the tech conference Dreamforce in San Francisco.
Liu was asked about an Instagram post he made on September 3 acknowledging the release of Shang-Chi one year earlier and stating that he was working on his mental health because he was frightened of “taking my foot off the pedal” in his career.
“I experienced moments where I’m living my dream and it didn’t quite feel like I was where I needed to be with myself,” he said.
“I’m also going through a breakup. That’s probably also contributing to it but that’s okay, I’ll be okay,” he added.

Simu Liu, a Canadian actor, and stuntman was born on April 19, 1989. In the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, he is best known for playing Shang-Chi. In addition, he portrayed Jung Kim in the CBC Television comedy Kim’s Convenience. For his performance in Blood and Water, he was nominated for an ACTRA Award and a Canadian Screen Award. He has been regarded as Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2022.
