- Sushant Singh Rajput was born on 21st January 1986 in Patna, Bihar. He has four elder sisters, one sister lives in US, another in Chandigarh and the other two live in Delhi. As a kid, he was close to his mother.
- He has done Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College Of Engineering.
- In 2005, he was chosen as a background dancer at the 51st Filmfare Awards. In 2006, he was part of the troupe that went to Australia to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
- In 2008, he was spotted by Balaji Films and was offered a role of Preet Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. That too didn’t work for him. In 2009, he got another oppurtunity and was casted in Pavitra Rishta.
- In May 2010, Sushant joined the dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and after that he participated in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4 and in October 2011, he decided to quit Pavitra Rishta and pursue for movies career.
- He debuted in Kai Po Che, was selected to play one of the three leads. After that he did several movies.
