17 June 2016: A teenage girl 17-year-old daughter of the senior naval officer went missing from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on 14 June, said the police officials on Thursday.
According to the source, Kairavi Sharma daughter of Arvind Sharma recently flew from Vizag to Hyderabad on Tuesday after which the teenage girl went missing since then.
It is learned that Kairavi Sharma is a student of standard XI who have recently completed. She is undergoing her studies in Pune. On Tuesday, the girl is on her way back to Pune from Visakhapatnam on June 14 Tuesday via Hyderabad. After she got down to the airport, she was supposed to take a flight to Pune from Hyderabad after which the girl went missing, says the police inspector of the airport M Mahesh.
However, it is learned that the girl has a left note to her father before she had switched off her phone saying that she was safe and there was no need to search for her. After Kairavi Sharma was found inaccessible and have not boarded the flight to Pune following which her father lodged a missing complaint with the RGIA police.
The matter has come to light after her father had received a call from the college management on Wednesday and was informed regarding his daughter’s absence. Kairavi was admitted to a college in Pune, as per the reports.
The police officials have registered the missing case and efforts are on a way to trace the girl. The police are also checking the CCTV footage of RGIA airport for the proof of evidence and its surroundings, said the police inspector.
Kairavi’s mobile has been found in switch off mode and yet the investigation is still on, added the police officials.
According to the CCTV footage, Kairavi had boarded a Pushpak bus that carries passengers from the airport. Her mobile was active until Tuesday evening and was traced at the location of Bowenpally, says the official.
