More about Xiaomi Mi 5c
Xiaomi Mi 5c is the next smartphone in the Mi lineup. This year, Xiaomi first unveiled the Mi 5 which is currently priced as low as Rs.20,000(on Amazon). Then in September, they launched the Mi 5s and 5s Plus. Now, they will be launching the cheapest variant.
The C added to the name usually means a cheaper, more laid back product. Though it belongs to the Mi 5 family, do not expect it to be equally powerful. It is a budget smartphone which costs very less. Some reports suggest that it will be launched on November 30 while others say that the launch has been scheduled for December 12. We cannot be sure.
What else?
Despite the fact that the latest Xiaomi flagships – Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix have not been launched in India, there is a high probability that the Xiaomi Mi 5c will be. This is due to the fact that Xiaomi has unable to sell its flagship phones. It’s cheaper phones like Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3s Prime got a very warm response.
In fact, the VP also said that they do not want to launch their premium phones in India. They want to focus on budget phones right now because that is what the demand is for. This means that Xiaomi Mi 5c could be launched in India as well. That is it for now. Stay tuned for more updates.
