Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Movie Review: If there’s one film that has got the most publicity in the year 2016, it is Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Well, after all the opposition and the “Pak artistes ban” controversy, the movie finally managed to release in the movie theaters today.
The fandom rushed towards the movie theaters to unveil the mystery behind the love triangle between Ayan, Alizeh, and Saba. For some, the movie brought a fresh perspective, while for others it was a sore disappointment.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Movie Review
Same old Love Story in a Brand New Movie
The movie story is nothing new, but the same old love story with a bunch of complications thrown into it. So the way it goes is Ayan(Ranbir), the rich and directionless guy and Alizeh(Anushka), the sorted and mature girl become friends at first but Ayan eventually falls for her while she doesn’t. Alizeh still wishes to get back with her ex Ali(Fawad), whom she still loves passionately, the movie doesn’t throw sufficient light on the love story of Ali and Alizeh.
And then comes Saba, a poet, and divorcee who falls in love with Ayan and the two get into a relationship. However, what Ayan really wants is to be with Alizeh which he eventually realizes while he’s in a relationship with Saba.
The movie ends on an abrupt note which we wish could have been more defined. The movie can be called as an amalgam of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, of course with a modern touch.
Watch it for the Brilliant acting & Screenplay
One thing that makes this movie a must watch is the lead actors of the film being seen in a different avatar. This is definitely the best of Anushka, Ranbir, and Aishwarya so far.
The movie is a fun package of love and drama which makes it a definite watch. Even though the story is nothing new, still we’d say it’s worth watching for the brilliant screenplay and acting.
