Hyderabad Building Collapse: Eleven bodies have been found recovered from the wreck of seven- storey under construction building which collapsed at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad Thursday night, news agency ANI reported. Security Personnel has rescued two people and one minor on Friday, and there were no survivors. The building owner has been arrested by the police. Except one family, all the victims of the tragedy are workers who lived in the building belonged to Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh.
NDRF personnel along with members of the local administration were rescuing the victims at the site of the Hyderabad building collapse in Nanakramguda. Mayor Ram Mohan told PTI that the rescue work took time as the ways to the building was narrow. Telangana Municipal Administration K T Rana Rao visited the spot on Friday and announced exgratia of Rs 10 lakh to victims’ families who lost their lives.
Ministers of the state visited the spot to supervise the rescue operation
The state government has decided to take strict action against the building owner for violating the construction norms as well the public officials who looked the other way, he said. N Narsimha Reddy and P Padmarao, ministers in the state were visited the spot on Friday to supervise the rescue operations.
Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya told PTI that Rekha a 35-year-old, and her son (4), who belonged from Chhattisgarh, were pulled out alive from the collide site Friday. The woman and her son were admitted to a hospital for treatment, he said.
The government has asked to Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNTU), Hyderabad to examine the cause of the collision. GHMC said that the preliminary report related to incident expected to out tonight.
State government requested MDD to give suggestion to control such incidents
State government has also urged to the secretary of Municipal Administration Department to investigate the relevant issue and suggest systemic improvement to curb such incidents in the future, it added.
At the same time, Union Bandaru Dattatreya met Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao who was in Delhi and discussed the incident with him. Dattatreya also ordered Labour Ministry officials in Hyderabad to give essential assistance to the victims, Union Minister said in a release.
