PM Narendra Modi has finally spoken up in the parliament today, however, not on the request of Congress to break silence over demonetisation. Modi said, “the country is above the party” at the Parliamentary meet today.
“Before, the ruling party indulged in corruption, like with Bofors and the spectrum scam. At that time, the opposition came together to agitate, but today, the ruling party and the NDA are fighting to defeat black money and it is being opposed by the opposition”, he added.

PM Narendra Modi also met with the delegation of Congress leaders today to further talks on alleviating the suffering of the farming community, loan waivers and the demonetisation issue. Rahul Gandhi added that the PM only listened to them while they suggested measures for the betterment of agriculture and he did not say anything about their suggestions.
