MHA banned Smartphones: After the videos of BSF soldier complaining low-quality of the meal being served to security personnel went viral on social media, the Home Ministry has issued strong restriction while asserting that there will be a complete ban on uploading any such videos with the consent of DG.
The ministry circulated the order in which it has banned army from using the smartphones. Hence, the Jawans can only keep basic phones. In a bid to protest against the ‘injustice’ being done on soldiers, they all have decided to stage a hunger strike.
All the complaints will be considered, says Army Chief
While talking to media persons, the Army Chief Bipin Rawat on Friday asserted that no complaints by troopers will be ignored. He also appealed the soldiers not to post any complaints on social media.
The statement came after Army personnel Yagya Pratab Singh come out and posted the video complaining against the authorities in Army and them making the soldiers do their persona work.

Yagya Pratab who is posted in Dehradun wrote a formal complaint to the Prime Minister’s office against the Army officials. The letter reads “I wrote a letter to the officials, post which I was put under scanner”, said the soldier. He clarified in the video saying that he didn’t intend to spoil the image of anyone in the Army. “My seniors have been torturing me ever since I’ve filed a complaint”. He also said that “If anyone other than me, would have been there, that person would have committed suicide”.
