Looks like, it’s becoming difficult for Ranveer Singh to handle his success. It was very unpleasant to know that Ranveer has asked Sanjay Leela Bhansali to cut short the role of Shahid Kapoor in their upcoming film, Padmavati. Singh asked Bhansali to reduce Kapoor’s role to a guest appearance or cameo role in the film. To this, Bhansali straight away refused and said that he won’t be unfair to Shahid.
Before this, Ranveer has demanded solo posters. And now, he has put forward another demand and said that he would only begin shooting if his urge would be fulfilled. But the filmmaker looks in no mood of accepting the irrelevant demand of the actor. He clearly said that Shahid’s role is as important as Ranveer’s and it cannot be converted to into a cameo or guest role.
Sanjay won’t work with Ranveer again
He further said that if Ranveer’s demand would be fulfilled, Shahid would no longer be a part of the film because he only agreed to do the film if his role would be as strong as Ranveer’s. Bhansali has now asked Deepika Padukone to talk to Ranveer and convince him to start the shooting. Other reports also say that Bhansali has decided not to work with Ranveer Singh ever in the future.
A source said, “Now, Bhansali has asked Deepika to talk to Ranveer and convince him to start the film. Because the film will not move if Ranveer doesn’t come around.”
Padmavati’s first schedule will begin with a song shoot, Ghoomar, at one of Mumbai’s studios. So, the men can take some time to resolve the issues. The song is a Rajasthani-style dance routine featuring Deepika. She will start preparing for the song soon.
As per an insider, “Folk dancers from Rajasthan will be flown in for the song. They will be seen alongside Deepika as well as train her. The set at Mehboob studio, where the song will be shot, is almost ready.”
This is going to be Ranveer and Deepika’s third film together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
