Los Angeles: Caitlyn Jenner looks back to her 76’ Olympics and shares her memories and feeling of being Bruce.
In the latest issue of Sports, Caitlyn the former Olympian revealed, “I love Bruce. I still love him today”.
“I admire what he did and the manner he established an example for dedication and hard work. I feel proud of that part of my life. But, Caitlyn was living inside me all my life, and it eventually reached a point where I had to breathe her out and put Bruce inside”.
She continued, “And I am happier, this past one year than I have ever been in my entire life”.
Jenner, who is 65 years old, graced the cover page of Sports Illustrated after winning the gold medal 40 years ago in the 1976 summer games in a decathlon, is forward-facing and centre once again. However, this time, she is dressed in the golden sparkly jumpsuit.
Jenner also said, “It disgusted me. I was thick and big and masculine. The remaining of the world believed this Greek kind of body. However, I hated it. Nevertheless, it is what I was given. Hence I tried to do the best I could with it”.
Though, last summer Caitlyn Jenner made her formal introduction on the Vanity Fair cover. She also explains that she considered this transition about twenty-seven years ago.
She also added that “she thought about the change at the age of her 40s which is 1989 and she was struggling with it”.
However, nearly three decades later, Jenner embrace her new personality as a woman.
