Goa Yuva Samwad Yojana: Viewing upcoming assembly polls in the state, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has casted the die while announcing to provide free calling and internet to the youth of the state. It understands the votes of youth can play the impetuous role in making government again in Goa. This is the reason why state government is focusing severely on the youth by launching the scheme.
Laxmikant Parsekar, Chief Minister of Goa has decided to provide 100 minutes free calling and 3GB data to the youth under Goa Yuva Samwad Yojana (GYSY). Age between 16to 30 years of people will be availed the benefit of this scheme.
Laxmikant Parsekar said that around 1.25 lakh youth of the state would get fee mobile connection under the scheme GYSY. Youth will get one time sim for free by the government. The government has chosen the Vodafone telecom company to distribute free sim with a free calling of 100 minutes under GYSY. “The scheme will be implemented via Goa Electronic Ltd as implementing agency,” said Parsekar.
The scheme, Goa Yuva Samwad Yojana (GYSY) will continue for three years and the government will also set a budget for the hassle-free implementation of the scheme. However, the candidate who can avail the service should be the resident of Goa for last five years. Paresekar said the Scheme has approved by the cabinet.
The government is launching the scheme after the states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh announced to distribute free smartphones to youth. The chief Minster said that beneficiary above 30 years and making unlawful/offensive/abusive usage of services, the services will be canceled and deactivated under Goa Yuva Samwad Yojana (GYSY)
Important Information Regarding the scheme:
- The scheme is launched under the name of ”Goa Yuva Samwad Yojana”.
- The cabinet has approved the scheme.
- Free Lifetime Validity Sim plus 100 Free Minutes & 3GB Data will be provided under the scheme.
- The scheme will be valid for 3 Years.
- Vodafone will be the cellular partner.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Applicant must be a resident of Goa for Last 5 years.
– Age of the applicant must be between 16 to 30 years.
Registration Process:
– Eligible applicants will be offered free Sim Card.
– As there has been a tie up with Vodafone, all Sim Cards will be of Vodafone network only.
– Beneficiaries need to submit their Aadhaar Card and Voter Card and address proof.
– A passport size photograph has to be submitted.
– After the customer application form (CAF) will be filled under the Goa Yuva Samwad Yojana, the back end team will activate the sim.
– The offer under the scheme will then be implemented and each user will get 100 free calling minutes along with 3GB Free internet.
