Huawei is a name that is constantly hitting the headlines for all the right reasons. It seems like everything is going great for the company. Their recent launches include Honor 8, Honor 6X, Mate 9 and Mate 9 Porshe Design. The latest addition to this list is a wearable fitness tracker – Huawei Fit band. That’s right, now Huawei has also stepped into the wearable line of products. Huawei was already making watches but this is not a watch.
There are already many entrants in the wearable device segment. However, with sharp and constant growth in the number of health conscious people, the demand is very likely to increase over time. The Huawei Fit band comes with a price tag of $129.99 in the US and €149 in Europe.
Huawei Fit band – Design and features
Huawei Fit band has been designed to look like an ordinary watch with an average round dial. It comes with a monochrome (Black & White) LCD display which measures 1.04-inches and has a resolution of 208×208. It has the ability to recognize activities like walking, running and swimming on its own without. Also, it keeps a track of your footsteps and calories.
There also an enhanced heart rate monitor which has stronger signal strength for high level of accuracy. The manufacturer claims that it has a built-in training guidance system for different types of marathon and records your sleep patterns too.
You can connect it to your phone (via Huawei Wear app) after which it can display call and text message notifications. It does not have a GPS of its own but once you connect it to your smartphone, it uses the phones GPS for that purpose. In addition to this, the battery is big enough to last you 6 days whereas it can survive for as long as 30 days on standby. Furthermore, the battery can be fully charged in just a matter of two hours.
Huawei Fit band – Price and availability
The band will be available in two colour variants, Moonlight Silver and Titanium Grey along with swappable straps which will be in Black, Blue and Orange colours. Other features like being water resistant also make it good pick.

The Huawei Fit band is currently available for purchase in the US for $129 (approx Rs.8700). It is also going to land in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Portugal very soon. However, it will bear a price tag of €149 (aaprox. Rs.11,100). Hopefully, it will enter the Indian markets soon.
