Mira and Shahid Kapoor have finally named their daughter as ‘Misha’ which is the combination of the starting names of both the parents. As per the reports, the couple named their daughter after consulting their spiritual guru in Amritsar. The couple along with Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur recently went to Amritsar in order to their guru’s help in deciding the name of the newly born baby girl.
Mira and Shahid Kapoor were blessed with a baby girl on August 26, this year and ever since their fans have been waiting for their baby to be named. A lot of names had been doing the rounds suggesting the name of the baby girl, but now all have ended and the little princess has been named ‘Misha’. The couple has been really protective of their baby girl as till date no media have reached their daughter to take a picture of her.
Shahid’s mother Neelima had dropped a hint about baby girl’s name
According to Bollywood Life, Shahid’s mother Neelima had suggested about the name of the baby before. She had said, “There is a name for the baby but it’s the parents’ prerogative to announce it. The most interesting thing I can add here is that I thought of the same name as Shahid and Mira. Once Mira and the baby are back at home I plan to visit them as often as I can. I miss her already.”
She further added, “It’s difficult to say who a one-day-old baby resembles. Uska rang chadega har din, so you really can’t say whom she looks like now. All I will say is that the baby is very beautiful. Bahut pyari hai bachchi. Maa baap bhi itne pyare hain, they are made for each other and the baby is too. My son has got his unit — now he is one boy with two girls, I was one girl with two boys (smiles).”
‘Misha’ is not a random name but has got a meaning too. It has a Russian meaning that says Misha means ‘God Like’ and this makes the name even more special.
Recently, Shahid Kapoor has been enjoying the success of his hit film ‘Udta Punjab’. He will be next seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ and then, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ along with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
