Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai: The winner of the 14th match of IPL season 9 is Mumbai Indians. The match played at Mumbai ground between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore;20 April 2016.
Man of the match is awarded to Rohit Sharma with 62 runs in 44 ball and also for his great performance led the team to win today’s match.
In the first innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier has won the toss and elected to bat first. On the crease enters Virat Kohli and Rahul and Ball by Southee. At at the first over the batsmen had a good start until on 3rd over on McClenaghan ball Rahul was caught out. Now enter de Villiers, both the batsmen have striking very well, but on 10th over by Pandya Kohli was caught out. While de Villiers also could not hold longer and he was stumped out. Now Watson and Travis Head is on strike where Watson too was caught out on Bumrah ball. Then Head and Sarfaraz Khan is on strike which reaches the score to 150 for the team. And on last over Head was run out followed by Sarfaraz Khan caught out and then Binny caught out on Bumrah ball as well. Finally, Kane and Patel ended the over with 170 runs for 7 wickets.
In the second innings, Mumbai Indians will chase the target of 171 runs in 20 overs. Enter Rohit and Parthiv Patel on the crease. Parthiv Patel is not so in the form and was caught out on Kane ball. Enters Rayudu, both batsmen along with Rohit have to pull the runs until 19th over Rayudu is caught out enters, Butler. Rohit Sharma too was out on 12th over balled by Abdulla. Now Pollard and Butler struggles for chasing the target. But on 15th over Butler is too caught out and enters Pandya. And then Pollard is on action and led the team to win the match. Mumbai Indians wins the 14th IPL match by 6 wickets. Mumbai Indians made the victory with 171 Runs for 4 wickets down.
