HBO have finally released a first look at their upcoming adaptation of The Last of Us 2 and it is utterly glorious. The series wrapped filming just a few months ago and whilst HBO did treat us to a few stills, we’ve all been waiting to truly see Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in action as Ellie and Joel. Without further ado, that day is finally here.
It’s been over two years since HBO first announced it was making a TV show based on Naughty Dogs’ The Last Of Us 2, and today we’ve finally got our first proper look at it.

The teaser also shows a conversation between Joel and Ellie where Ellie talks about how she has lost everything she loved, “Everybody I have cared for has either died or left me.” To this Joel, played by Pedro Pascal replies, “You have no idea what loss is.”
Star Cast
Apart from Joel and Ellie, the show will also star Murray Bartlett as Frank, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Anna Torv as Tess as well as Jeffery Price as Perry.
Original voice actors for the game, Troy Baker (Joel) and Ashley Johson (Ellie) are expected to make appearances on the show.
Release Date of The Last of Us 2
There is some time before we get to see this show, however. The Last Of Us series is expected to drop sometime next year. What’s also surprising is that the teaser drops a week before the Last Of Us Remake for the PS5 goes live.
